NeoClear by Aerolase®offers patients of all ages and skin types a new safe, effective, and tolerable treatment for acne using advanced 650-microsecond technology. NeoClear is a powerful acne treatment that eliminates the major factors causing acne including excess sebum production, inflammation, and the p. acnes bacteria. Typically, many different treatments, medications, or skin care options are required to address these factors, but NeoClear can achieve this with a single device. The unique settings of the 650-microsecond device allows energy to penetrate deeply into the skin within a highly safe and tolerable pulse to reduce sebum production, suppress inflammation, and destroy the p. acnes bacteria to help clear current acne breakouts and to stop them in the future. The Aerolase® Neo Elite is a gentle skin rejuvenating laser treatment ideal for the correction of multiple appearance-related concerns. As a non-ablative laser, this treatment can be used for both mild and moderate skin issues, as well as on multiple skin types and tones. In addition to acne-related skin concerns, this treatment can also correct fine lines, mild skin laxity, uneven skin tone, uneven skin texture, and sun damage. 

 AEROLASE PROCEDURE

  • Avoid retinols/retinoids, exfoliating AHA/BHAs (glycolic, salicylic acid, mandelic acid) for 72 hours prior to your procedure.

    Avoid tanning beds and sunless tanning products to prevent adverse reactions.

    Avoid sun exposure greater than 30 minutes, even if wearing sunscreen.

    Skin must be clean and free of makeup, lotions, oils, deodorant, sunless tanning products, numbing cream, etc. Products on the skin can increase the likelihood of adverse reactions from the laser.

    Avoid physical activities that increase body temperature for at least 2 hours before treatments.

    Skin that is sunburned, hot to the touch, peeling or is otherwise damaged cannot be treated.

    Do not wear make-up or other face products to appointment.

    Avoid excess sun one week prior to your appointment.

  • Treatment area must be clean-shaven 12-24 hours prior to treatment. Unshaved clients will be rescheduled. Razors are not provided in the clinics.

    DO NOT WAX, TWEEZE OR USE DEPILATORY CREAMS. Shaving is the only acceptable method prior to your procedure.

  • Laser treatments typically involve a few follow-up rules while your skin is still vulnerable in the seven to 10 days following your treatment.

    You may experience slight redness, bumps, and swelling in the treated area for up to 72 hours. We recommend topical hydrocortisone 1% over the counter for irritation.

    No direct sunlight and unprotected sun exposure for 7 days post-treatment

    You may resume makeup when the skin looks and feels back to normal

    Avoid excess heat and sweating

    Use gentle ceramide based cleansers: cetaphil, vanicream, avene, cerave, la roche posay

    Do not use skin-irritating products

    Do not exfoliate chemically with AHAs/BHAs, retinols or mechanically with harsh scrubs, mechanical devices for 72 hours

    Do not use heavy moisturizers

    Always wear lightweight SPF 30 or higher

    Shedding of the hair follicle may or may not occur after 5 to 7 days.
